Carolyn was raised in Camargo where she attended the Camargo Public Schools through the 11th grade. On December 31, 1952, Carolyn Yvonne and Billy Joe Holley were united in marriage at Clovis, New Mexico. To this union three daughters, Teresa, Vickie and Carol and one son, Ron were born. After their marriage Carolyn and Billy made their home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma until 1963 at which time they moved to Woodward, Oklahoma. Carolyn was employed at Walmart where she was a people greeter. In 1986, Carolyn and Billy moved back to the hometown of Camargo for their remaining years together. After Billy’s passing, she moved back to Woodward to be closer to her children. The last four years were spent living with grand-daughter, Sarah Pratt and kids.
Carolyn’s hobbies included cooking and doing word puzzles. She was baptized and a member of the First Baptist Church in Woodward. She enjoyed cooking on Wednesday evenings for the Church.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Eunice Miskel, spouse Billy Joe Holley, sister Eva Partido, step-mom Billie Marie Miskel, half-brother Richard Hamilton and grandmother Lona Miskel.
Those remaining to honor her memory include her three daughters Teresa Collier and husband Mike of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, Vickie King of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Carol Alexander and husband Marty of Mooreland, Oklahoma; one son Ron Holley and wife Lissa of Woodward, Oklahoma; one brother Cecil Miskel and wife Marge of Rio Grande, Arizona; sixteen grandchildren, thirty seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and host of friends.
