Carrie Mae Dilkes Edmonds, 90, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in Tucson, Arizona.

Born: On January 26, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Georgia Eggleston Dilkes.

Personal: Carrie's husband, James, died in 1986.

She was a devoted wife and mother all of her life.

Survivors: She is survived by five children, Marikay Kapke of Indianapolis, Jeanne Fronski, James Edmonds, Elizabeth Ford, and Andrew Edmonds, all of Arizona; 10 grandchildren, Sandra Maher, Pamela Spurgin, Jeffrey Kapke, and Eric Kapke, of Indianapolis, Deborah Caplette of Easton, Kimberly Otis, Lisa Otis, Michael Edmonds, Mark La Celle, and Carrie Ford, all of Arizona; and many great-grandchildren.

An infant son, Arthur, two grandchildren, Kathryn Edmonds and Ryan McGlophin, and a great grandchild, Scarlett Kapke, all died earlier.

Services: Will be in Tucson, Arizona.

Memorials: Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's research, and/or the Hospice Center of your choice.

Carrie Edmonds Originally from Wilmette, Illinois, passed away February 8, 2005.

Proceeded in death by her husband of 53 years, James A. Edmonds; her grandchildren, Ryan McGlothlin and Katie Edmonds, and her great-granddaughter, Scarlett Kapke. Survived by her children, Marikay Kapke, Jeanne Fronske, James M. Edmonds, Beth Ford and Andy Edmonds; ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Private services for the family will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 200 p.m. at St. Alban's Episcopal Church. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd., Tucson, Arizona 85716.
