Army Sgt. Thomas P. McGee, 23, of Hawthorne, Calif.; assigned to the 546th Military Police Company, 385th Military Police Battalion, Fort Stewart, Ga.; died July 6 of wounds sustained when his vehicle struck an improvised explosive device in Wazi Khwa, Afghanistan. He is survived by parents, Tom and Sylvia McGee; brother, Corey McGee; grandmothers, Coralee Gentle and Margarete McGee; grandfather, Juan Montoya; step-grandparents, Onja and Jim; aunts and uncles, Leon and Julie, Tom and Debbie, Steve and Michelle, Joe and Elke and Michael; cousins, Jana, Stephen, Lexi, Connor, Melissa and Laura; and good friends, Vanessa, Craig and Greg. He was a special son to his loving and devoted parents, was a mentor to his brother, was much loved by his close family, and will be greatly missed.
