She has had her loving husband, Kenneth Eugene Martin, by her side for 57 years. Kenneth has been a strength to her and has kept her laughing since they were married in the Manti Temple on August 14, 1962.
Being a tender and caring wife, mother, and grandmother was something that came naturally to Connie. She is survived and loved dearly by her husband and four daughters, Julie (Greg), Elizabeth (Damon), Heather, and Holly; ten grandchildren, Andrew, Spencer, K.J, Troy, Scott, Kaylee, Jake, Zoe, Olivia, and Alex; and two great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her beautiful quilts, her soft-spoken manner, and her incredible ability to make all those around her feel loved and needed. Connie loved reading mysteries and watching British dramas, studying the Gospel and attending the temple. Her favorite calling in all her years of service in the church was to be a primary teacher-and oh how the little children loved her! Connie emulated the spirit of kindness and love of Our Savior Jesus Christ in all that she did. She pieced her experiences-both good and sorrowful-into her life’s quilt, leaving a beautiful pattern of strength and fortitude along with warmth and joy that will forever be an example to us all.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Spring Creek Ward, 1080 South 930 West, Payson, Utah. Interment will be at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park in Bluffdale.
