Austin – Jane Marie Austin, age 85, of Sanderson, Florida passed away at her home October 1, 2019. She was born June 18, 1934 in Horseheads, New York to the late Leland May and Bertha Waters May. Jane grew up in New York but moved to Baker County in 1989. She enjoyed her career as a self-employed private duty nurse. When not nursing she was in the yard working, crocheting or knitting. More then anything she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Jane is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fay Austin; and son, Rodney Austin.
Jane is survived by her children, Scott Austin and Sharon Dugger both of Taylor, FL; sisters, Betty Johnson of New York, Marion Reynolds of Lake City, FL, Clara White of Lake City, Fl, Liela Cook of Oregon, and Loretta Sonderricker of Melbourne, FL; and 8 grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, October 9th at 1:00 p.m. at Taylor Cemetery with Brother Bobby Griffis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 10:00 – 12:00. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. TODD FERREIRA FUNERAL SERVICES, 250 North Lowder Street, Macclenny, FL 32063 (904)259-5700.
