A life long resident of the area, she graduated from Stonington High School. She worked for the Groton school system as chief accountant for 30 years, retiring in 1992.
Luddy was active in 4-H for many years, and, following her retirement,she was an avid reader and traveler. She was known for her cooking skills and cooked for all the family gatherings; her Rhode Island Quahog chowder was the family favorite.
As a loving aunt, she will be missed by her 47 nieces and nephews and 89 grandnieces and grand-nephews.
Luddy was predeceased by Thomas L. Crowley, Margaret C. Crofts, and Raymond Crowley.
