Geraldine was born March 8, 1927 in Comstock, MI, the daughter of James E. and Sylvia M. (Coans) Maitner. She worked at the Hutchinson Clinic as a PBX Operator for many years. Geraldine was a member of the Eastern Star and Grace Episcopal Church.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister; daughter, Patricia A. Baker; daughter – in - law, Edna Baker; and a son – in - law Bill Pierson.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie Pierson and Terry M. Baker; grandchildren, Ashelle (Jesse) Neill, Stacie (Sidney) Schultz, Mandie Works, Michael (Nebuen) Baker, and Adam Baker, and two great grandchildren, Jade Kuntz and Brock Doolittle
A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS, with Father Ted Blakley officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, Ks. Memorials may be given to Hospice House or Cancer Council of Reno County and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
