Tonya Alisa Ford, 32, of Church Hill

CHURCH HILL - Tonya Alisa Ford, 32, of Morning Star Road, went home to be with the Lord when the Angels came on (June 4, 2004) Tonya was born on December 31, 1971.

Tonya was a life long resident of Church Hill and was a member of Calvary Light House Baptist Church. She was a 1990 graduate of Volunteer High School and was a former employee of Holliston Mills.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Orval T. Ford and maternal grandfather, J. C. Fields, one uncle, Freddie "Shug" Ford.

She is survived by two daughters, Brianna and Taylor Long, Church Hill; her mother, Beverly Fields, Mooresburg; father and step mother, Larry and Dicey Ford, Kingsport; one sister, Brandy Ford, Church Hill; two step brothers, Tim and Bill Oaks; grandmothers, Anna Lee "Nan" Ford and Marjorie Fields; three aunts, Edna Gibbons and husband, Larry, Judy "Bunt" Ford and Joan Hensley and husband, Earl; uncle, Thomas Fields; one great uncle; R. H. Fields; several great aunts and uncles.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 P. M. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at the home of grandmother, Anna Lee Ford, 1237 Morning Star Road.

Services will be conducted Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Alvin Skelton and Allen Kidd officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Morning Star Cemetery.
