She was united in marriage to the late Tillmer Pittman and together they raised four children: Duane Hogan, Brian Hogan, Na'tarshish "Mekia" Hogan, and Tillman "Ham" Pittman.
She truly enjoyed styling hair and passed her passion on to her nieces. She was also known for her great cooking, especially her gumbo. She worked in the foodservice industry, working for several restaurants in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas. She was an awesome chef.
She was known for her kindness, her beautiful smile, and her sweet personality. If you knew Shelia, you would remember a person full of love and compassion for others. She was truly loved by her family and friends.
Shelia helped many young adults who didn't have a place to stay. You would walk in her home and see different faces and she would look at you and say, "They didn't have a place to stay". They would stay until they were back on their feet. She would always say, "You will never know when you might need help". This was how she lived her life, caring for others. If she had it, you had it. The description of Shelia's heart is something that cannot be put into words. You might say, it was filled with warmth and love for everyone.
