Darrell Allen Miller was born in Isabel, South Dakota on May 23, 1936. His parents were Emmanual and Magdelina Miller. His family moved to the Paul, Idaho area when he was about four years old. He was the youngest of eight children. Darrell graduated from Rupert High School in 1954.
He was drafted into the U. S. Army and served active service for two years and six years in the reserves. He served stateside.
Darrell married ReNee Judd on September 06, 1957 in Burley, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were blessed with four sons: Ray, Gary, Rod and Jay. They currently have 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Darrell worked for Rural Electric/United Electric for 47 years as a lineman, line crew foreman, and meter maintenance. Darrell enjoyed growing a large garden and many remember his generosity with the produce grown. He also kept livestock and loved to spend time with his many dogs. He was known as a hard working man who was always on the go.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, six of his siblings, and his wife, ReNee.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Hansen Mortuary in Rupert. Burial will follow at the Paul Cemetery in Paul, Idaho.
