Howard "Ed" Crawford, 73, of Ridgely, Tennessee died on Thursday, October 3, 2019, at his residence in Ridgely, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, March 14, 1946 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Howard Crawford and the late Lizzie V. Kitterman Crawford. He was a retired maintenance employee for Dyersburg State Community College, member and deacon of Holy Hills Baptist Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Funeral services for Mr. Crawford will be 12:00 P.M.on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the Holy Hills Baptist Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Pastor Dennis Knowles. Interment will follow in White Rose Cemetery near Humboldt, Tennessee.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of forty-eight years, Phyllis Prusick Crawford of Ridgely, Tennessee; three sons, Adam J. Crawford (Penny) of Eddyville, Kentucky, Jason E. Crawford (Christy) of Humboldt, Tennessee and Kristopher E. Crawford (Laura Massey) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one sister, Barbara Aderson (Murray Gene) of Manteno, Illinois ; eight grand children, Justin Crawford, Abbi Crawford, Dalton Phillips, Anna Crawford, Jackson Crawford, Aaron Phillips, Rena Crawford and Gavin Crawford and two grand-dogs.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Joe E. Crawford, Sr. and one sister, Vonda Adams.

Pallbearers will be members of the Vietnam Veterans Honor Guard..
