Bobbie D. Day, 83, of South Elgin, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. She was born June 11, 1936, in Colt, Arkansas, the daughter of Bowen and Vera (Carter) Lloyd.
Bobbie spent her early years in Arkansas, moving to the Elgin area in 1960.
She worked for RR Donelly of Elgin, in the directory department, advancing to the catalog digital graphics department, and was a valued member of the company.
One of her many passions was her compassionate love and faithfulness not only to her family, but also to her church and church family. She was a very giving lady, always putting others needs first in her life. She used her many gifted talents to serve others. She was the church organist for 40 years, and served on several committees at her church. Reading her bible, music, watching her favorite TV. shows, hot dogs and Roses, were among many of her favorite things. She was adored by her children and grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Survivors include her children: Sandra (Anthony) and G Day; her three grandchildren; her sister: Norma Jane; her brother: G (D) Lloyd; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Sammy Day; along with her parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church, 551 Arlington Ave., Elgin IL., starting at 10:00 am until 11:00 am, with funeral services starting at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin.
