On a hot afternoon in the summer of 1929, Eunice was the 9th child born to Elmer and Pauline Cupps, in Santa Anna, Texas. Growing up on the farm provided experiences which enabled her to see the beauty of God's creation in her family, the animals, land, and weather, which developed into a life-long appreciation that she shared with younger generations.
After graduation from high school she met a quiet young man, named Emmett Terry, who was kind and well-mannered. They later married and were blessed with three days short of 65 years of marriage.
Eunice and Emmett were members of the Church of Christ and taught their family the importance of serving the Lord and allowing Him to guide their steps daily. They instilled an appreciation of God's blessings, a strong work ethic, and how to be good stewards of anything they had.
Eunice passed from this life on October 3, 2019 and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Terry; daughter, Sherrill Carlson; son-in-law, Bill Mills; grandsons, Brandon Mills and Terry Carlson; and great grandson, T. J. Mills.
She is survived by daughters, Tawana Mills and Cindy Bryant; sons-in law, Rand Carlson and Jack Bryant; grandchildren, Marla Hamilton and husband, Terry, Jennifer Joiner and husband, Phil, Stacey Bryant, Travis Mills, Emmett Mills and Rachel Mills; great grandchildren, Courtney Kirk and husband, Luke Kirk, Ryleigh Hamilton, Michael Mills, Samuel Joiner, Noah Joiner, Emmalee Mills, Asher Joiner, Nicholas McDonald and Braxley Mills; great-great-granddaughter: Elizabeth Kirk; as well as many nieces and nephews.
