Survived by a son and his wife; a daughter and her husband Wesley of Westford; 6 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and a sister; two foster sons; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
Predeceased by his parents; his wife in 2014; son, Robert Bates; sister-in-law, Gertrude Bates; and brother-in-law, Wayne Nolan.
