Calvin Matthews, 64, of Westlake, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 at St. Patrick's Hospital. He was born to his late parents, Curley and Mary Matthews on February 9, 1955 in Lake Charles.
He enjoyed fishing, and worked in the Iron Workers Local for a number of years.
He is survived by his brother, Henry Matthews of Houston, TX; nieces, Laura Schadler of Sulphur, Pamela Sydnor of Cypress, TX; and Kimberly Matthews of Spring, TX.
Calvin is preceded in death by his two brothers, Claiborne Matthews and Lawrence Matthews.
Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 10:00am. Visitation will begin at the funeral home on Monday, starting at 9:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery of Edgerly.
