Pietro Luigi (or Pier Luigi) Manzoni was the third child and first son of poet and novelist Alessandro Manzoni and Enrichetta Blondel. He married Giovanna Visconti in 1845 or 1846, with whom he had 4 children. He died some weeks before his famous father.
