Her Father, Freeman R Smith was a member of the Choctaw Nation. Her Mother, Anna E Wade, was a member of the Cherokee Nation but chose to be enrolled in the Choctaw Nation. Her husband, Garland Jasper Minton is buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Canadian, Pittsburg, Oklahoma along with her Father and Mother.
She lived a very long life, having passed almost 105 years.
