Keith was born in Hayward, California to the union of Wilbert and Carolyn Mitchell. Keith was reared in Stockton, California and graduated from Edison High School where he participated in drama and theatrical productions. He also earned numerous awards for education excellence, which included, "Learning to Serve and Serving to Learn" Distinction from AmeriCorps National Services with an Introduction of working with Seniors and Handicap individuals.
Keith continued his education by attending both San Joaquin Delta College and Michigan State University where he obtained a degree in the Language of French. Upon graduation, Keith found interest in Modeling and Martial Arts. He also did something he always dreamed of doing, and that was travel abroad. He visited both France and Australia during his time of travel. Soon after returning to Stockton, he obtained a position at Compass Cares SLS & ILS in Pleasanton, CA. as a team leader. He quickly rose to the rank of a manager and managed several teams.
Fitting into his plans of being a world traveler, he found an opportunity to help others discover the English language by teaching in Beijing, China. He truly had a passion for teaching and had recently signed up for an additional year of teaching abroad.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his mother, Carolyn Dunning; father, Wilbert Mitchell; two brothers, Johnny (Amber) Lewis & Andre (Candace) Mitchell, Sr; 4 nephews, 4 nieces; his maternal grandmother, Irma Dunning; his step-mother, Olivia Edwards; and a host of other relatives & friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Calvin A. Dunning and fraternal grandparents Wilbert Sr. & Eunice Mitchell.
