Daniel Len Hicks, age 57, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019 at Vanderbilt Hospital. He was born February 14, 1962 in Shreveport, LA to Billy and Phyllis Brown Hicks. Danny was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He loved coaching ball, fishing, and Alabama football. The funeral services will be held on Saturday October 5th at 10:00 AM, at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens, AL, with Brother Richard Garlen, Chris Hicks, and Brother Brad Smith doing the officiating, and visitation will be held on Friday October 4th from 6:00 PM until 9:00PM. Burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Prospect, TN. He was preceded in death by his father Billy Hicks. Survivors include: his mother, Phyllis Brown Hicks, his wife, Tracy Hicks, his brothers and sister, Mike Hicks (Candy), Keith Hicks (Carol), Tammy Hicks, and Daryl Hicks (Lori), his children, Chris Hicks (Crystal), Amanda Hicks (Josh), and Alisha Calvert, his grandchildren, Hezekiah Heard, Lawton Hicks, Paisley Whipple, and Haden Zeitner, and many nieces and nephews. Pall Bearers and Honorary Pall Bearers will be: Josh Heard, Josh Reyer, Daniel Haley, Jimmy Kennedy, Tommy Arnold, Jacob McCurry, Wesley Harrison, Cody Collins, Damian McLemore, Heath Haney, Luke Spann, Zach Seadorf, PJ Roper, Kevin Eckstein, and Matthew Zirbel.
