Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, at 3 p.m., at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline, with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the family or the American Cancer Society.
Stephanie L. Bruce was born in Normal, Ill., on April 23, 1967, to Stephen and Margo A. Knepp Bruce. She married Curtis Blasdell in 1987, in Erie.
She was a manager at McDonald's in Milan. She enjoyed collecting Star Trek memorabilia, and was an avid reader and a great fan of science fiction and Harry Potter. She loved palm trees, and collected and decorated her home with them.
She is survived by her father, Stephen; daughter, Josie Conley, Milan; sons, Derek (Jade Nightingale) Blasdell, Moline, and Anthony (Stefanie Sabaski) Blasdell, Milan; and a brother, David Bruce, Huntsville, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
