Attorney Kailes was a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. He was a member of the Lorain County [Ohio] Bar Association.
Attorney Kailes was a member of Temple B'nai Abraham and a member of B'nai B'rith. He was president of Elyria Jewish Temple at the time when it was built and for seven years thereafter. He was a member of the board of directors of the Temple for 30 years.
