He was born on Jan. 2, 1943, in Anderson, to Bernard and Rose (Surper) Vance.
Larry was a graduate of Purdue University. He retired as a tool and die maker at General Motors after 38 years of service.
He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer and sports fan.
Larry is survived by his wife, Carol (Buntin) Vance of Anderson; sons, Patrick Vance of Orlando, Florida, Jay (Stacie) Vance of Westfield, Jim (Kris) Vance of New Palestine, Trent (Kristy) Vance of Fishers; grandchildren, Evan, Jaycob, Tori, Emma; sisters, Nancy Duckworth, Jayne Pierce; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, with the Rev. P.T. Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
