Harry L. Young, 86, of Jensen Beach, Florida, passed away on August 8, 2019 at The Cabana at Jensen Dunes, Jensen Beach, FL, under the care of Treasure Coast Hospice, Stuart, FL.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, he had been a resident of Nettles Island, Jensen Beach, FL for 6 years moving from Plantation, FL in 2013.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War.

Prior to retiring, he was an Enrolled Agent and accredited tax advisor and accountant in Plantation for 60 years. He was a graduate of StetsonUniversity, Deland, FL. Harry was very active in Plantation, FL. He served as Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce, President of the Rotary Club, and decades on Plantation’s Board of Adjustment. He also served as President of the Everglades Chapter of the FL Accountants Assoc. (FAA). He always considered Plantation home! He was a member of the NettlesIslandChurch, Jensen Beach, FL.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Millie Young; his daughters, Cheri Markcity and her husband Mike of Plantation, FL, Debbie Harman and her husband Curt of Grapevine, TX, and Tammy Gibson of Jensen Beach, FL; his honorary daughter, Vicki Thomas of Port St. Lucie, FL, and his grandchildren, Crystal Harman Byers and her husband Brooks of Flower Mound, TX, Chris Markcity of Plantation,FL, Tyler Gibson of Huntsville, AL, Courtney Harman of Grapevine, TX, Jon Markcity of Littleton, CO, and Grant Gibson of Jensen Beach, FL.
