Michael Jeffery Talley, 35, Jonesborough passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 in the Johnson City Medical Center due to a motorcycle accident. He was a native of Scottsboro, Alabama and was the son of the late Rickey Paul Talley and Opal Faye York Talley. Michael worked for Harp Legacy Construction Company. He loved his family first and was an avid deer hunter and loved spending time fishing with his family on the lakes and rivers. Michael absolutely loved his wind therapy on his motorcycle. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Megan Danielle Baker; his grandparents, Ernest and Pauline Talley and Ernest and Opal York, Ervin Cook; an uncle, Joel York and a cousin, Jennifer Alaine Talley. Survivors include his loving wife, Tara Shante’e Talley of the home; his three children, Shaylee Austin, Madison Talley and Michael “Walker” Talley; mother-in-law, Darlene Cook and Rick Eggers of Johnson City; father-in-law, Tommy Cook and wife, Regenia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Justin and Jennifer Cook of Whiteville, NC, Kailyn and Adam Houser of Dalton, GA, Abbey Cook of Dalton and Jeremy Baker of GA; nieces and nephews, Landon Bryant, Teagan Houser, Harlan Cook, Makenzie Soles, Gracelyn “Toot” Pass, Kenley Defore and Adaleigh Houser; aunts and uncles, Randy and Candy York of Dalton, GA, Glenn and Sheila York, Danny and Monica York, Doyle and Pam York, Regenia York, Timmy Talley, Stevie and Freda Talley all of Alabama, and ; special friends, Kevin Huff and Paul “Byrd” Hoffman.
