Professional Football Player. He played the linebacker position for both the National Football League's Baltimore Colts and New Orleans Saints from 1976 to 1982. Born Edward Charles Simonini, he played football collegiately at Texas A&M University where he led the Aggies in tackles for three years and was an unianimous All-American in 1975. He was drafted in the third round of the 1976 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Colts and went on to play for them for six years. While with the Colts, he led the team in tackles for four seasons. He was cut by the Colts before the 1982 season and ended up playing for the New Orleans Saints during that year's season. He retired from football after the 1982 season. He was married to Karen Christy, a Playboy magazine Playmate of the Month for December of 1971. He passed away after a long battle with cancer.
