Richard Wayne Allford, 82, of Greenfield passed away on September 28, 2019
Born at Willow Branch, Indiana on September 15, 1937 to the late Carl S. Allford and Lucile (Burk) Allford.
He Graduated from Fortville High School in 1955 and served in the Army.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Carolyn (Basey) Allford; his son Richard (Becky) Allford; his daughters, Cheryl (Tim) Overman; Beth (Rob) Daffron; Special Daughter, Glenda Leon of California; Grandchildren: Richard (Alyssa) Daffron, Tyler Yensel, Zachary Allford, Melissa Daffron, Katie (John) Armstrong, Karlee Allford, Wile Overman, Nathan Allford, Calista Overman, Josh Allford, Logan Overman, Ashley Allford, five great granddaughters, and a niece and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Sherry Collins; and grandson, Jordon Allford.
Wayne started farming when he was 16 and retired in 2003.
Wayne Served on the Hancock Co. 4-H Fair Board and spent many years helping during the fair. He also volunteered at the pioneer village at the Indiana state fair. He collected antique tractors and was a member of several clubs and traveled with these tractors to many shows. He also spent several years working at a shop restoring antique John Deere Tractors.
Friends may call on October 2, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield IN, 46140. A Funeral Service will be held on October 3, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Dave Crittenden officiating at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Mendon Cemetery
