Gladys was born to the union of the late Edward Sr. and Gwendolyn Williams Linzy in Franklin, LA. She received her formal education in the schools of St. Mary Parish and was a graduate of Franklin Sr. High School, Class of 1985. She was a long-time employee of The Mcllhenny Company. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she faithfully attended Sunday services.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Linzy; an infant sister, Bernadette Linzy and her grandmother, Marcel Washington. Gladys passed away suddenly at her home in Avery Island, LA.

Leaving to cherish many precious memory are her two daughters, Latonya (Chelvaura Gray) Linzy of New Iberia, LA and Dimonica (Reginald) Thompson of Jeanerette, LA; five siblings, Lawrence (Beverly) Tardy of New Iberia, LA, Edward Linzy, Jr. of Franklin, LA, Cheryl Linzer of Jeanerette, LA, Rita Linzy of Dallas, TX and Tina Craft of Lancaster,TX; seven grandchildren, Jerell, Latrivia, Jae’onte, Jakal, Jakayln, Reginae, and Bre’Asia; two great-grandchildren, Markel and La’Quanta and many other relatives and friends who will her presence and smile
