Daniel L. Myers, age 74, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019. He was born in Greencastle, Indiana on October 11, 1944 to Carl R. and Ruth Imogene (Manis) Myers. He graduated from Warren Central High School in 1962. Daniel married Linda J. (Orrill) on December 16, 1966 in Indianapolis.
He was the owner and operator of his family business Myers Insurance Agency Inc. in Greenfield. He was also a radio broadcaster for WIFE, WGRE, and WIBC. During college he worked for the radio station WFRS. Daniel was a former officer at Greenfield Elks Lodge and a former member of Greenfield Country Club. Daniel enjoyed golfing, and he was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Notre Dame and Purdue football, and the LA Dodgers.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Linda J. Myers of Greenfield; children, Danielle L. (Christopher) Grossmann of Pelham, AL, Jennifer L. (Jason) Burton of Brownsburg, IN, and Robert G. (Elizabeth) Myers of Fishers, IN; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl R. and Ruth Imogene Myers.
Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A memorial service will take place immediately following the gathering at 3:00 p.m. Gregory Kennett will be officiating.
