She was an active member for over eighty years at Zion Baptist Church, Portsmouth, VA, and a participant in several organizations. Her professional career was an elementary teacher for over thirty-three years for Portsmouth Public School System.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Bernard E. Morgan,III (Viola), 2 brothers, Cephas Wright (Jessie), Roland Wright (Betty), 2 grandchildren, Tonja' Denby (Ken), Bernard E. Morgan,IV (Stephanie), and a great grandson Bernard E. Morgan,V.
Funeral services Friday 11:00 a.m. August 8, 2014 at Zion Baptist Church, by Dr. Kelvin Turner. The interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, VA.
