She was an active member for over eighty years at Zion Baptist Church, Portsmouth, VA, and a participant in several organizations. Her professional career was an elementary teacher for over thirty-three years for Portsmouth Public School System.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Bernard E. Morgan,III (Viola), 2 brothers, Cephas Wright (Jessie), Roland Wright (Betty), 2 grandchildren, Tonja' Denby (Ken), Bernard E. Morgan,IV (Stephanie), and a great grandson Bernard E. Morgan,V.
Funeral services Friday 11:00 a.m. August 8, 2014 at Zion Baptist Church, by Dr. Kelvin Turner. The interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, VA. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m on Friday. At her request there will be no public viewing. Fisher Funeral Home. 1520 Effingham Street, Portsmouth, VA.
