John M. “Jack” Hassett, 62, of Brunswick, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at his home. He was born on January 13, 1957 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to the late Arthur and Clare (nee Quinn) Hassett. John retired from Travel Centers of America and enjoyed spending his free time with his grandchildren and vacationing on Cape Cod with his treasured family. He was often found on golf courses with the St. Ambrose Golf League. John is the beloved husband of Vannel (nee Hamilton) of 37 years; loving father of Christopher (Kathleen) Hassett; cherished grandfather of Madison and Liam Hassett; dear brother of Joannie Palmer (deceased), David (Lisa) Hassett, Susan (Gregg) Jaros, and Mark (Trish) Hassett; and an uncle of many. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 4-8 PM at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 9:30 AM at St. Colette Parish, 330 W. 130th Street, Brunswick, Ohio 44212. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Avon, Ohio.
