Gary Allen Wynn was born on October 21, 1949 in Fresno, California to Clair and Lucille Wynn. He passed away on October 3, 2017.

Gary attended Malaga Elementary School until the 5th grade when the family moved into Fresno.He attended Scandinavian Elementary, Sierra Junior High, C.L. McLane High School, Fresno City College and Fresno State University.

He enjoyed a long teaching career in Fresno Unified School District teaching at Webster, Heaton and Scandinavian Child Development Centers, Kirk, Kratt, Eaton, and Centennial Elementary Schools. Gary truly loved teaching and treasured his relationships with students and colleagues.

He was precessed in death by his parents and sister, Linda Lanfranco.

Gary is survived by his wife, Cathie, his children, Chris Sousa-Wynn and wife, Charise, MarynBeth Verbeck and husband David, Andrew Sousa-Wynn and wife Jennifer, Matthew Sousa-Wynn and fiancé Samantha Rogers; grandsons, Ronan and Gareth, a grandson due in November, and sister Barbara Eubanks

He is survived by extended family members, sister-in-laws , Lisa Sousa and Mary Sousa; brother-in-laws,Manny Sousa, Randy Ellison, Bob Havercamp and Albert Lanfranco; nephew Edward Lanfranco and his wife Linda, great nephew and great niece, Matteo and CeCe.

Gary is also survived by a loving community of friends and neighbors.

We would like to thank, Dr. Tom Hackett, Anabel and Antonia, the RNs, LVNs, lab techs and office staff at cCare West for their compassionate care along this journey.

A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, October 21, 2017, 11:00 a.m., Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home.
