Margaret Barrett Anthony, 82, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family on Monday, September 30, 2019 at her home in Richland. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, October 2nd from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. A Private Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 3rd at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in the Garden of Memories.

Ms. Anthony was born February 13, 1937 to George Dunn and Vera Richardson in Philadelphia, MS.

She was a member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Brandon. She worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant for over 30 years and retired from MS State Hospital. Ms. Margaret loved and lived for her children.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Anthony was preceded in death by her husbands, Willis Charles Barrett and Verlin Anthony; her son, Charles Lane Barrett, grandson, Corey Harris; and 11 siblings.

She is survived by her children, Wayne (Debbie) Barrett of Morton, MS, Donald (Marilyn) Barrett of Lena, MS, Gerald Barrett of Richland and Irby Barrett of Richland, MS, Frances (Walter) Hayman of Prentiss, Donna Hill of Richland, MS, and Mary (Chuck) Different of Mendenhall, MS; brother, Elvin Dunn of Georgia; adopted daughter, Barbara Flanagan; 23 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.
