Obituary
A private graveside service in the Russell Mills Cemetery, Plymouth, was conducted
Tuesday Aug. 30, for Dora E. (Valler) Burgess, 98, who died Friday, Aug. 26, at home
in Plymouth after a long illness.
Mrs. Burgess, an avid needle worker, gardener, and loving mother and grandmother,
was born April 26, 1896 in Plymouth, daughter of the late John W. Valler and Ella A.
(Lapham) Valler. She lived all her life in this town, where she attended the local schools
and was a member of the Plymouth First Baptist Church and its Women's Guild.
She was the widow of Charles H. Burgess.
Mrs. Burgess leaves a son, Carlton F. Burgess, and two daughters, Ora Torrance and Helen
Clark, all of Plymouth; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Richard Warren David Funeral Home made the arrangements.
