A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, September 30th at Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
“Tenny” was born in Anson County on February 27, 1927, a son of the late Robert Frank Pinkston and Lillian Odom Pinkston. He graduated Deep Creek High School. Tenny went on to work at several jobs over the years, Hornwood, Ballet Hosiery, and the job he really loved best, Pinkston Lawn Mowers (now Pinkston’s Sales and Service).
Tenny was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church where he attended the Wesley Bible Class. Over the years he enjoyed traveling, square dancing, card playing, but most of all, time spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, three sons, one daughter, six grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Tenny was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Pinkston and two sisters, Zerlene Ratliff and Patty Norwood.
