CLANCY YOUTH KILLED FRIDAY NEAR BUTTE
The body of Ronald Dean Pipe, 17, will be forwarded to Eliason Funeral Home, Chinook, for funeral services and burial. The student, former Billings resident, was killed Memorial Day weekend when thrown from his northbound car as it plunged down a steep embankment on U.S. 91 about 17 miles north of Butte.
State highway patrolman Howard Lemm said it appeared the victim died when pitched against some large boulders while the car careened down the slope after leaving the highway on a curve north of the Elk Park summit.
The body was taken to the Hagler mortuary.
Survivors include his parents, Edgar and William, Clancy; two brothers, Robert, Billings, Richard, Helena.
Pipe was born August 16, 1951 in Harlem. He attended schools there and in Billings and Anaconda.
