Julie was born to George and Sue (McGann) Tomlinson in Lansing, Michigan on June 29, 1957. She married Jeff Jones on September 18, 1982 in West Milton, OH.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff; two sons, Eric and Evan and one brother, Steve (Ellen) Tomlinson.
Her mother, father, sister, Jeanne and brother, John preceded her in death.
She graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in business. Julie was the Vice President of human resources at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. After this, she and her husband started a manufacturing business in West Milton, Ohio. After selling the business they moved to Vermont, and then to Peoria to be closer to her sister. In Peoria Julie worked for many years at Caterpillar, after which she retired and started working at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Julie enjoyed hiking, canoeing and travelling. The vacations she planned were always filled with great activities and scenic locations. She loved helping her son’s Boy Scout troop, listening to them play the piano, cooking at church and helping her friends and family with anything they needed.
Cremation Rites have been accorded and service will be held at a later date.
