JONES COUNTY: Sondra Dawn Johnson, 48, of Gray, died peacefully, Friday, June 21, 2019, surrounded by her family at a local hospital after a brief illness. Visitation will be held 6:00pm-8:00pm, Tuesday, at Gray Memorial Chapel in Gray. A service of remembrance will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, June 26 2019, at Gray Memorial Chapel with interment at Macon Memorial Park. Rev. Scott Walston will officiate.
Dawn was born July 14, 1970, in Macon and was a resident of Jones County. She graduated from Jones County High School in 1990 and was a full time homemaker. Dawn will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, warm and caring disposition and her love for her family. She was preceded in death by her father: Albert Eugene Tyre and her step-father: James Adkins.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her children: Miranda Autumn Johnson, Noah Johnson, and Camden Johnson; mother: Jo Ann Adkins; step-father: Earnest Fowler; brothers and sisters-in-law: Michael and Tracy Tyre and Sean and Julia Fowler.
