Heather Lynn Richards, age 39, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Oct. 27, 2014, from a brief illness.

She was born to James Maloney and the late Joan Maloney on Dec. 30, 1974, in Bridgeport, Conn. She is survived by her husband, Shawn; three beautiful children, Rowan, age 8, Rhys, age 4, daughter, Annika, age 2; stepson, Noah, age 13; and stepdaughter, Ryana, age 15.

In addition, she is survived by her father, Jim; stepmother, Linda Maloney of Englewood, Fla.; as well as a sister, Shannon Maloney of Stratford, Conn.

Heather loved Vermont's nature and beauty, and adored children, animals, and the elderly. She worked as a caregiver for many years and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at Lincoln United Church. Friends may call at Lincoln United Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. up to the hour of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her children's college fund, Attn. Shawn Richards, 126 East River Rd., Lincoln, VT 05443.
