She was born July 14, 1940 to the late Elsie Hill and the late Francis Malcolm Hill.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Westside Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Deaconess ministry and the Kitchen ministry. She worked for Lake Winnepesaukah for many years and also Dixie Yarn until her retirement.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who loved her family dearly and will be truly missed. In her spare time, she loved to sew.
Edna was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Malcolm; brother, Alfred Dewayne Hill, and her sister-in-law, Doris Hill.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Herbert L. Green; sons, Cedric Malcolm, Paul McBryar (both of Chattanooga); daughters, Trissi Malcom of Clarksville Tn, Tonda (Greg) Beckham of Mobile AL; brothers, James R. Hill, Carl (Wiletta) Hill both of Chattanooga, Edgar (Glenda) Hill of Memphis; sisters, Katherine Paige of Mansville, Ohio, Martha Graham, Francis Hill, Alma Clay all of Chattanooga; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Public viewing will begin at 9:00 am Wednesday, October 2, 2019, and the family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 3, at 12 noon at Westside Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Timothy Careathers, officiating. Interment: National Cemetery.
