SINKS GROVE, WV --- Louise Beamer O’Neill Sparks, age 90 passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Peyton Hospice House at Fairlea, WV. Born July 6, 1928 at Hillsdale, WV she was the daughter of the late William Franklin and Hattie Gaye Beamer O’Neill. Louise retired from the B.F. Goodrich Plant with 25 years of service. She was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church. Louise had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. She was a true community servant, always lending a hand anyway she could to help her friends, neighbors, and people of the community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Gilbert “Gib” Sparks, one brother, John William O’Neill; three sisters, Mary Marshall Pascall, Virginia Smith, and Anna Cole. Survivors include, five children, Rebecca G. Patterson and husband Roger, Sr., of Lewisburg, WV, Ronald L. Sparks of Eleanor, WV, T. Lynn McCarty and husband Edward of Alderson, WV, James R. Sparks of Lewisburg, WV and Mark G. Sparks and wife Caroline of Union, WV; nine grandchildren, Roger Patterson, Jr., Chad A. Patterson, Richard F. Massey, Derek E. McCarty, Darcie L. McGraw, Ashlie Sparks Feury, Aimee Jaye Owens, Rebecca L. Sparks, and Robert Riley Sparks; eight and soon to be nine great-grandchildren, Summer Patterson, Lauren Patterson, Josie Patterson, Marley Patterson, Jaycee Taylor, Kendal Massey, Nathaniel Feury, Conner Feury, and arriving soon will be Lacie Louise Rose Sparks, also, a special little boy in her life was Conner Hill; four sisters, Jane Brisker of Minford, OH, Willa Kanode of Zenith, WV, Marion Collins of Lillydale, WV and Dorothy Cole of Lindside, WV; one brother, Oren O’Neill of Zenith, WV.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Union Presbyterian Church in Union, WV with Rev. Wayne Sparks and Nancy Bulla officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Keenan, WV. Friends may call Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at the Union Presbyterian Church. Charles Sparks, Joe Guilfoile, Dewey Surface, George Sparks, Rick Bennett, and Jim Bennett will serve as Pallbearers.
