William Payne Ramey, husband of Margaret Sue Ramey, of Paris, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, September 27, 2019, at the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital, in Lexington, Kentucky, after an extended illness, having attained the age of 73 years. He was born on October 12, 1945, in Paris, the son of the late William S. and Ruth Ramey. He was a farmer, a truck driver, a member of Paris Lodge #2, F&AM, and a member of Silas Baptist Church.

Besides his wife, Sue, he is survived by: three sons, William A. Ramey (Anita), Robert Ramey and Brandon Ramey (Jamie); six grandchildren, Elizabeth Ramey, Shannon Ramey, Jaxson Ramey, Zach Hazlett, Taylor Westerfield and Emma Hazlett; a sister, Doris Petty (Larry); and a sister-in-law, Jean Taylor.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, at the Paris Cemetery Chapel, officiated by Rev. Curtis Coots, with interment to follow in Paris Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the Paris Cemetery Chapel at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
