Marlene was a 1960 graduate of Medora High School and attended cosmetology school and became a beauty operator at Eastgate. Marlene was a very strong willed and courageous woman. She loved to vacation with her family, especially to Florida. Marlene enjoyed looking for treasures at flea markets and garage sales. She had the most wonderful sense of humor. But most of all, Marlene loved to spoil her grandchildren.
Marlene is survived by her daughter, Ann M. Schroeder; brothers, Bill Beck (Ann) and Kelly Beck (Sherri); and grandchildren, Mason, Kendra, Karrah and Hailey Schroeder, Roger, Ray, Valerie and Mandy Stark.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Virgil “Bud” Howard; second husband, James M. Stark; brothers, Max Leroy Boas and Richard Lee Boas; and step-father, Walter W. Beck.
Burial at Holmes Cemetery in Medora, Indiana.
