Joe Collier, 82, a retired salesman and farmer of Stem, died Thursday night in Granville Hospital after several days of illness.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the G. T. Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by the Rev. Charles Fitzpatrick. Burial was in Gooch Memorial Church Cemetery in Stem.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eula W. Collier, and two sisters, Mrs. W. Ralph Smith of Wilmington and Mrs. J. W. Atkinson of Selma.
Pallbearers were Jimmy collier, Billy Smith, Clayborne Hill, Jimmy Atkinson, Webb Fowler and Harold Goss.
