CORDELE — Funeral services for Roy H. Cook, 57, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Cemetery in Turner County.

Roy, died Thursday morning, September 26, 2019 at Crisp Regional Hospital. He was born in Cordele. He is preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Cook, his grandmother, Viola Miller, and his sister, Donna Jones. He was employed as a supervisor at Helena Industries. He was a member of Cordele Cruisers and enjoyed playing golf. He was a UGA fan and loved his friends and especially his family.

He is survived by his wife: Wendy Baumgardner of Cobb, Ga.; his children: Dustin (Emalee) Baumgardner of Perry, Fla. and Sarah Baumgardner of Statesboro, Ga.; his sisters: Alice Nipper of Seville, Ga., Mary (Elmer) Mallard of Warwick, Ga., and Patsy (Charles) Glover, Linda (Robert) Coursey, Edna (Robin) McGlamory, Laura (Terry) Priest and Debbie (Derek) Clements all of Cordele, Ga; his three furbabies and two grand-furbabies.
