Maurice Emmett Abercrombie, 67, a retired Stock and Commodities Broker, died of natural causes in his home. Born in Jonesboro, LA and a longtime resident of both Tampa and Atlanta. Maurice is survived by his daughter, Julie Searcy of Winston-Salem, NC, son, Scott of New Orleans, LA, sister, Kay Sullivan of Abbeville, SC, grandsons, Tripp and Zachary Holder, longtime companion Marjeey, and his faithful friend and dog Abercrombie. He was predeceased by his sisters Louise Cory and Linda Dixon. Abercrombie now lives with Maurice's grandchildren. Maurice was a lifelong fisherman and naturalist. Many of his travels were recorded in his photographs that he gave to family and friends. A memorial service will be held in Atlanta on Saturday, January 24, 2004.
