Ms Carol Gertrude Short, age 81, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019. She was born in Muskegon, MI on September 25, 1937 to William & Ione (griffin) Stanley. Carol graduated from Fremont High School and had worked as a cook at the Dinner Bell, Camp Newaygo, YMCA Camp Pinewood and the Fremont High School Cafeteria. She also did in-home care and cleaned homes. Carol was a member of Lakewood Bible Church and enjoyed activities with Life Circles, most important was her family and taking care of the kids. SURVIVORS Son, Alan(Janet) Short of Fremont, 3 daughters, Tina Dinaro of Twin Lake, Diane (Ernie) Nichols of Whitehall, Virginia Witham of Twin Lake; 2 Brothers, Alfred Stanley of Twin Lake, Dennis Stanley of Twin lake; sister, Agnes Crawford of FL; 8 grandchildren, Crystal Kaufman-Short, Holly Kaufman-Short, Jeff Witham, Jeremy Witham, Jennifer Witham, Alan Short Jr., Ryan Short, Jason Short; 6 great-grandchildren, Collin, Isaiah, Mason, Julius, Valena. She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce; grandchildren Joshua, Nicholas and Angel; siblings Lloyd, Keith, Claudia, Ilene and several step siblings CELEBRATION OF LIFE Saturday, September 28, 2019, 11:00am to 3:00pm at Lakewood Bible Church. Internment in Twin Lake Cemetery.
