Mrs. Nighswonger Dead.

Mrs. J.W. Nighswonger died at her home seven miles northwest of Conway Springs. Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock, after an illness of a few weeks. She leaves her husband and three small children, one a baby thirteen months old.

Funeral services were held at the County Line Baptist church this morning at 10 o'clock.

Obituary

Nannie Jane Paisley was born on May 4, 1891 in Johnson Co., Kans., and departed this life Aug. 27, 1918, aged 27 years, 3 months and 23 days.

She was married to Jay W. Nighswonger July 19, 1911. To this union three children were born; Annabel, Dale and Robert. She was converted in March 1911 and united with the Christian church. After her marriage and her coming to this community she united with the Ninnescah Baptist church in the fall of 1911 at which she remained an active member until death.

Besides her husband and three little children she leaves her mother, Mrs. I. Paisley, of Kanneth, Kans., five sisters, Mrs. Harry Nighswonger, Mrs. Herman Johnson, Mrs. J.L. Jones, and Mrs. Sam Grimsley of Viola and Mrs. Mattie Senter of Kansas City, and two brothers, Mrs. Swan Paisley and Mr. Charles Ellie of Johnson county, Kansas. Along with these are many other relatives and a host of friends who also are in sorrow.

She was a patient sufferer, during her sickness and suffering.

She was a faithful companion and a devoted mother possessing much of christian graces.

She will be missed by her husband and her little children, by her mother, her sisters and brothers. She will also be missed by the church and her Sabbath Sunday class and by all who knew her. But we know that our loss is Heaven's gain.

Funeral services were conducted from the church by F.E. Carey, Aug. 29, 1918 and interment was made in the Ninnescah cemetery.
