Harold L. Wiesehan, 89, of Granite City, IL passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. The St. Louis native was born February 5, 1930, son of the late Edward and Lillian (nee Eugea) Wiesehan.


He retired in 1995 from Spectrulite Consortium after 44 years of dedicated service as a quality control manager. He served in the Korea Era as Sgt. in the Air Force. He was a dedicated and faithful member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City.

In addition to his beloved parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Alicia Gray and Bryan Wiesehan as well as brother, Edward Wiesehan. Memorials may be made to Foundation of Infant Resources (S.I.D.S.), 1120 South Sixth, St. Louis, MO or to Susan G. Komen Foundation (komen.org) and may be accepted at the funeral home. In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home, 2205 Pontoon Road, Granite City on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 2606 Washington Ave., in Granite City with Fr. Jeff Holtman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Saksa Funeral Home, Granite City, Illinois.
