Son of Herschel Stevenson and Opal Skinner

Dale joined the military to help pay for college. He soon thereafter was sent to Vietnam. This was a life changing experience for him. He told his children that after being in a war, he lost faith in organized religion but not in God. Then one day, while repairing his mother's steps, Christians were out preaching in his mother's neighborhood and one stopped to talk to him. That woman left him some Bible literature which he began to read. It renewed his interest in religion as he found a Christian people who truly followed Isaiah 2:4 where it reads: "They will beat their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, Nor will they learn war anymore." He was baptized as a Christian on the 16th of September 1974 and was a faithful servant of our Heavenly Father until his death serving as a congregation elder for many years of his life.

A Memorial service was held at the Kingdom Hall in Venice, Florida. Kingdom Song "He Will Call" was played at the end of the service. Ashes were distributed in the Gulf of Mexico by his family at sunset that night after private prayers were said.

The scripture on his stone gives comfort to his loved ones as it reminds them of our Heavenly Father's promise:
NWT John 5: 28-29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life..."
