Jo Ann West Porter, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN passed away on April 27, 2020 at Donalson Care Center. She was born in Lincoln County, TN on February 4, 1939 to the late James R. West, Sr. and Jewell Johnson West.
She retired in 2004 after 35 years with South Central Human Resource Agency. She was of the Church of Christ faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Leon Porter.
Mrs. Porter is survived by her sons: Anthony Leon Porter of Fayetteville, TN and Jeffrey Lynn (Anna) Porter of Nevada; grandchildren: Karen Hamblin of Ashburn, VA, Heather (Frank) Lamay of Fayetteville, TN and Jeffrey (Rhiannan) Porter, Jr. of Nevada; great grandchildren: Kaymen Lamay, Kayoss Lamay and Addison Schadewald; sisters: Ruth Goatz and Jane Quick both of Fayetteville, TN; and brothers: William C. West and James Robert (Rita) West all of Fayetteville, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Macedonia Cemetery. In accordance with an Executive Order by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, social gatherings are limited to no more than 10 participants. Therefore, extended family and friends who wish to support the family at the service may park in the cemetery and must remain in their cars.
